Protection when and where you need it
The 2017 Grand Cherokee comes standard with advanced, multistage driver and front-passenger airbags+ and supplemental side-curtain airbags. Standard crush zones in the front of the vehicle and side guard door beams (integrated into the design) also help absorb excess energy and decrease its transfer to occupants.

Driver assist systems alert and aid you in challenging driving situations. Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop are just two of several available systems.
The Blind Spot Monitoring+ (BSM) system employs dual radar sensors to check driver blind spots and constantly monitor the space between your Grand Cherokee and other vehicles. When the BSM system detects a vehicle that's too close, the driver is notified with an audible chime and illuminated icons that appear on the exterior mirrors.
The 2017 Grand Cherokee features an available emergency 9-1-1 Call button+ on the rearview mirror to summon help when critical situations demand an immediate response. An additional button also provides you with immediate access to emergency services, roadside assistance+ and vehicle support.
At the forefront of the latest safety and security systems is the Enhanced Accident Response System. This system turns on interior lighting, unlocks doors and shuts off fuel when airbags+ deploy in the event of an accident.
The ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera+ with the ParkSense® Front and Rear Park Assist System+ helps you park and back out with ease. A rearview video image with dynamic grid lines is displayed when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. These available systems help bring previously hidden front and rear objects to your attention and also provide you with an audible warning, giving you time to react.
These warning systems will be appreciated by even the most attentive driver. Approach another object too rapidly and the Forward Collision Warning+ with Crash Mitigation alerts the driver with an audible and visual warning, automatically engaging the brakes if a collision is imminent. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop+ automatically adjusts cruising speed to maintain a preset distance between you and the crowd.
Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, now available on Jeep® Grand Cherokee makes parking that much easier. Once it identifies a parking space, the system directs the driver with audible instructions, which also appear in the Driver Information Cluster Display. The driver controls the gear position, brake and accelerator while the guidance system controls the steering wheel.
